Originally from Utah, Bree trained under Colleen Smith (student of William F. Christensen of Ballet West,) Lauralyn Kofford and at Center Stage Performing Arts. She danced as a national champion BYU Cougarette, then performed professionally with Odyssey Dance Theater being hand-selected to perform on their sold-out European tour. Her energetic teaching and unique choreography have been recognized for years, being inducted into prestigious national invitationals from LA to New York City.
As a winner of the coveted Capezio ACE (Award for Choreographic Excellence,) she was given the opportunity to start her own professional company, Positive Space, and has taken her critically acclaimed show from Dallas to Broadway. She has been named a Capezio Athlete and highlighted in their branding website and has been a commissioned dance photography choreographer for several years. She has choreographed and worked for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, Dallas Repertoire Ballet, the Salt Lake City Olympics, and studios and dance teams internationally. Bree is also a popular dance blogger and contributor to Dance Studio Nation, The Dance Exec, Dance Studios Web Design, and School Empower, and she has recently been interviewed and featured in Dance Spirit magazine for her choreography.
Bree currently works for several companies, teaching convention and judging competitions across the country. She continues to touch lives through her words, teaching and choreography, even as her life has changed dramatically by becoming a mom!
